Summary: The role of Salesforce Developer involves designing and developing solutions within a customized Salesforce platform for a global eCommerce organization. This contract position requires collaboration within an agile team to enhance existing applications and automate workflows. The position is hybrid, requiring two days a week in London, and is classified as inside IR35. The contract duration is for at least six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project objectives, develop new Salesforce applications, enhance existing applications, automate workflows, and troubleshoot application errors.
  • Take ownership of the development of one or more platform products, acting as the liaison between product management and development teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyse project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces and customised applications.
  • Support management, daily support, and maintenance of the Salesforce instance, conducting long-term improvement operations.

Key Skills:

  • Proven commercial experience as a Salesforce Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong experience with large, highly customized Salesforce.com environments and large data volumes.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of business processes.
  • Salesforce.com Developer certification or equivalent experience (PD2, JavaScript developer 1, Sales cloud, Experience cloud).
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and related systems.
  • Experience in Salesforce.com development using Apex, Visualforce, LWC, SOQL, and Web Services.
  • Understanding of Salesforce.com's best practices, code documentation, and test classes.
  • Experience with Force.com IDE, Visual Studio, Web Services/SOA & Metadata APIs, and Sandbox environments.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce.com architecture and platform utilization.
  • Proficient in writing clean, scalable, and performant code.
  • Knowledge of CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with APEX design patterns and object-oriented programming paradigms.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce APIs is beneficial.
