Sales Engineer (12 month Fixed Term Contract) Carcavelos nr. Lisbon to €30,000
Are you a well educated tech savvy Sales Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background? You could be progressing your career at a scientific software company and working on "Tech for Good" software that enables research scientists to record and analyse their findings in the field; an example of a current project is the effect of wind farms on migrating birds and other wildlife. The multi-threaded platform manages large volumes of data and is highly complex.
As a Sales Engineer you will take ownership of the preparation of complex technical commercial proposals, contribute to business development activities and coordinate internal contributions to ensure timely and consistent proposal delivery. You'll outreach to prospective clients and new business leads to introduce the product and assist with preparing and delivering client presentations (primarily online) and will also participate in occasional travel for conferences, trade fairs and client meetings.
Location: You'll join colleagues in the Carcavelos (near Lisbon) office four days a week with flexibility to work from home one day a week.
About you: You're degree educated in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical or similar, to Masters / MSc / PhD level You have experience of structuring and writing large and complex technical proposals You have fluent spoken and written English and Portuguese language skills You have advanced organisation and planning skills and are able to work independently, managing multiple tasks and deadlines
