Summary: The Sales & Design Consultant role involves supporting the Showroom Sales Team in delivering exceptional customer experiences within a luxury department store in London. The position requires engaging clients with tailored product advice and maintaining high standards of service and showroom presentation. The consultant will play a crucial role in strengthening customer relationships and driving sales growth over a 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers into the showroom, providing a warm and professional hospitality experience.
- Deliver an exceptional sales service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Actively listen and engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized product recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain showroom presentation, ensuring visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld.
- Offer detailed product knowledge and technical support to customers.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy and ensure goods are properly stored and displayed.
- Inspect all products for quality and report any damages.
- Utilize company tools including quote/project registration, traffic registration, and CRM systems effectively.
- Expand the customer database through accurate client data registration and profiling.
- Support the Showroom Manager and Retail Director with events and promotional activities.
- Prepare and analyze sales and customer relations reports to provide actionable insights.
- Handle customer complaints and service suggestions professionally and proactively.
- Assist in implementing showroom programs and executing operational and organizational goals.
Key Skills:
- 2–3 years of experience in luxury retail, high-end furniture, or a similar premium goods industry.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain showroom presentation and visual merchandising standards.
