Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and guidance across Safety Engineering activities.
- Support the delivery of Acquisition Safety policy and engineering solutions.
- Undertake through-life safety risk management activities.
- Support the delivery of safe and suitable equipment, systems and services.
- Contribute to System Safety Management, governance and assurance activities.
- Support safety assurance, audit and compliance activities.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and project teams across the wider Defence acquisition environment.
- Provide professional Safety Engineering input throughout the acquisition and support lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience delivering successful Safety Engineering, System Safety or Safety Acquisition outcomes.
- Strong technical Safety Engineering experience within complex engineering environments.
- Experience providing professional technical safety advice to engineering or project teams.
- A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or above.
- Professional registration as EngTech or RSciTech with an appropriate professional body is desirable.
- Experience within Defence, Maritime, MOD, DE&S or other safety-critical engineering environments would be highly advantageous.
Security Clearance
Candidates must hold current SC Clearance and be able to confirm which organisation currently holds their clearance.
