Ruby on Rails Engineer

Summary: This role is for an experienced Ruby on Rails Engineer to join a dynamic full stack team in the Greentech sector in London. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby on Rails code
• Collaborate with product and development teams to gather requirements and scope out solutions
• Design and implement scalable, secure features, adhering to best practices such as TDD and continuous delivery
• Contribute to technical discussions and strategic planning around new feature development
• Review code, support refactoring initiatives and maintain high code quality
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

Key Skills:

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Strong skills in object-oriented analysis and design
• Comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team
• Experience building interactive, data-driven applications
• Proven ability to write clean, efficient and testable code
• Solid understanding of relational databases
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development cycles
