Summary: A leading media company in Manchester is seeking an RTR Accountant for a 6-9 month fixed-term contract to support a Record-to-Report transformation project. The role involves data cleansing, balance sheet reconciliation restructuring, and system migration support, with a hybrid working arrangement of two days in the office. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and experience in RTR processes or finance transformation projects. Immediate availability is preferred for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and correct inconsistencies in financial postings across business units and legal entities.
  • Prepare impact summaries and post correction journals.
  • Investigate and resolve data integrity issues to improve accuracy and prevent future errors.
  • Understand and apply new general ledger validation rules.
  • Test and cleanse existing data to ensure compliance, including journal entries and reclassifications.
  • Reformat existing Excel-based balance sheet reconciliations into a new legal entity structure.
  • Cleanse outdated or immaterial reconciling items.
  • Ensure supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Assist in transferring reconciliations into a new reconciliation system (e.g. Oracle ARCS or similar).
  • Work to project timelines and ensure data readiness.
