Roughnecks – Platform Drilling, TAQA Contract

Summary: The role of Roughneck on the Brae Alpha Platform involves operating and maintaining rig floor equipment and well control systems under the direction of the Driller. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, assisting in drilling operations, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain rig floor drill string handling and hoisting equipment.
• Perform maintenance on drilling systems and equipment as directed.
• Assist with nippling up/down of BOP and associated equipment.
• Monitor fluid returns and report changes to the Driller.
• Participate in well control drills and safety meetings.
• Drive forklift trucks for cargo and chemical handling as required.
• Coach Roustabouts in Floorman duties.
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards.
• Assist in emergency response situations and understand rig abandonment procedures.
