Summary: The Rotating Equipment Engineer role focuses on Gas and Diesel engines and reciprocating compressors, requiring hands-on experience in these areas. The position is based in Aberdeen with monthly travel to Barrow Terminal and emphasizes safety, reliability, and operational excellence. The engineer will be responsible for performance oversight, maintenance strategy, and vendor coordination among other duties. This is a long-term PAYE contract classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily performance of PGCs, Gas/Diesel engines, and reciprocating compressors.
- Provide on-site support at the Barrow Terminal to ensure optimal operation of PGC packages.
- Align all activities with UK safety standards and the company's maintenance philosophy.
- Continuously seek improvements to enhance reliability and uptime of rotating equipment.
- Manage and optimize maintenance and inspection activities through the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP).
- Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance data in SAP.
- Ensure availability and proper management of critical spare parts.
- Handle technical RFQs, vendor performance, and ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.
- Support and lead investigations into equipment failures, implementing long-term fixes.
- Participate in shutdown planning and risk assessments for critical assets.
- Promote a strong HSE culture and contribute to an "Incident Free Workplace."
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Gas and Diesel engines.
