Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development, testing, and verification of new systems and components into the Cockpit system.
- Manage the test and development plan for several new cockpit programmes.
- Create and update Bill of Materials for test parts.
- Prepare parts for testing, evaluate results, and write reports.
- Liaise with supplier teams to ensure test plans are on track.
- Manage the departments test & development test budget.
- Keep all Module documentation up to date including meeting minutes.
- Undertake any other work as directed by the line manager.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience managing resolution of business, technical, and process issues within a Project Team environment.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
- Good understanding of issue management systems, CAD systems, and Design Verification processes.
- Experience organizing or supervising test preparation and completion to defined procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of virtual verification methods and reviewing results.

The Opportunity The purpose of this role is to coordinate the development, testing and verification of new systems and components or commodities into the Cockpit system. The role requires the individual to use the Client systems to set up and manage the test plan progression through to sign-off. The initial deployment will be within the off-cycle development team supporting new technology development & running change verification, requirement updates and generic design verification plan (DVP) process development.
Key Performance Indicators To successfully deliver final engineering sign-off of new cockpit content to programme gateway timing To set up, monitor, track and report out development progression via RMDV interface
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Checking all appropriate Client standards are met through-out design maturation Responsible for managing the test and development plan for several new cockpit programmes Managing RMDV (the Clients' management tracking system) deck for respective programmes, setting and cascading targets to relevant areas. Creating a detailed test timing plan. Creating and updating Bill of Materials for test parts Obtaining quotes from suppliers and test houses to complete plan and liaising with value for money team to gain approval. Preparing parts for testing, evaluating results, resolving any problems arising, writing reports and filing back to RMDV. Liaising with the responsible supplier teams to ensure test plan is on track. Involved in managing the departments test & development test budget. Keep all Module documentation up to date including meeting minutes. Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Skills: Essential: Previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred A good understanding of the issue management systems, CAD systems and Design Verification processes are required An understanding of Engineering Standards and Test Procedures Previous experience organising or supervising test preparation and completion to defined procedures. Desirable: Previous experience with Cockpit or automative interior component design verification. Previous experience within engineering or programme planning departments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes Knowledge of virtual verification methods (geometrical and CAE computer aided engineering) and reviewing results.
Education: Degree qualified (engineering or related) or equivalent experience preferred
