Summary: The Risk Manager role at a Telco client involves assessing risk exposure and control effectiveness within the CTO. The position requires collaboration with risk champions to identify emerging risks, evaluate control measures, and support financial planning through risk assessments. This is an initial 3-month contract classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determining CTO's exposure to risk against its risk tolerance.
• Identification of emerging risk trends and determining their impact on CTO's risk profile.
• Assess control effectiveness in design and operation.
• Identify arising internal control issues and concerns.
• Support the business in the quantitative and qualitative assessment of risks in a manner that supports financial planning on a plausible and worst-case basis.
• Facilitate the management of issues and concerns and challenging the appropriateness of management mitigation plans.
• Track risk mitigation actions and updates/reporting to the organisation.
• Monitor the status of key risk indicators and provide forecasts based on past performance.
• Monitor loss event (incidents) occurrence and provide forecasts of expected losses with and without management action.

Key Skills:

• Very experienced Risk Manager.
• Able to perform RCSA or CRSA.
• Understanding of technology, preferably within telco.
• Experience supporting Operations and Conduct, with knowledge of financial or capacity aspects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with very senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to undergo SC level vetting.
