Summary: Kennedys is seeking a Risk & Compliance Auditor for a 12-month fixed-term contract within their Risk & Compliance department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the completion of the annual lawyer file audit plan for Kennedys Overseas offices and if required, audits for UK lawyers.
  • Support and facilitate QMS, ISO9001 external audits for UK and Overseas office.
  • Timely delivery of quality written audit reports and assist in monitoring the completion of corrections and corrective actions.
  • Contribute competently to the existing internal audit processes globally, including UK offices.
  • Assist in the periodic review and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to Senior Quality Manager regarding QMS implementation and improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of audit actions and quality requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience of legal file management.
  • QMS ISO9001 experience, desirable but not essential.
  • Current or previous supervisory, peer review experience or completion of file audit.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proven organisational skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Proven ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Kennedys is looking for a 12 month fixed term contract Risk & Compliance auditor to join our Risk & Compliance department who provide expert information, advice, and guidance to the Firm on professional responsibility, risk, and compliance issues. The role sits within the Quality and Audit Risk team. Team Kennedys Risk & Compliance team oversees a wide range of partnership and risk and compliance issues for the firm and acts as an in-house legal department assisting with regulatory and professional conduct enquiries. Kennedys Quality and Audit Risk team are responsible for the delivery of the annual, lawyer file and relevant business services audit programmes, as well assisting with client team auditing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake the completion of the annual lawyer file audit plan for Kennedys Overseas offices and if required, audits for UK lawyers.
  • Support and facilitate QMS, ISO9001 external audits for UK and Overseas office. This will include liaising with relevant stakeholders, coordinating audit schedules, and preparing documentation.
  • Timely delivery of quality written audit reports as well as assisting in the monitoring the completion of corrections and corrective actions.
  • Contribute competently to the existing internal audit processes globally, including UK offices.
  • Assist in the periodic review and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) documentation to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to Senior Quality Manager in relation to the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the Firm's QMS.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the audit actions, and quality requirements arising from internal and external audits.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience of legal file management.
  • QMS 1SO9001 experience, desirable but not essential.
  • Current or previous supervisory, peer review experience or completion of file audit would be ideal.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proven organisational skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Proven ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
