The Role: Due to our continued growth in the Asset Finance industry, we are looking to employ an additional Risk Auditor to cover London and the South of England. Mission of the Role: As part of the Risk Audit Team, the Risks Auditor’s primary responsibility is to identify and address risks, and to make an optimal contribution to achieving Exley & Co’s strategic objectives whilst at all times focusing on minimising the risks within each client’s lease portfolio.

Core Activities of the Role: Conduct pre-lend and post-lend audits, providing concise and detailed risk audit reports. Perform on-site audits to assess the customer’s business operations and the condition of the financed assets. Based on the outcome of the audit, consider risks to the lender and, where required, work with the client and internal stakeholders to address audit findings/discrepancies. Inform colleagues of common audit risks and ensure knowledge transfer on important themes. Analyse and interpret financial statements and information, forming a view of the customer’s business, market situation, and financial position and ability to meet its financial obligations now and in the future. To assess the underlying strength of the assets, a high degree of intimate market and industry knowledge is required. Develop, challenge, and test audit policies and processes. Put forward proposals to update and revise the audit policy and processes. Monitor the UK client audit portfolio in an autonomous and proactive manner. Ensure audits are undertaken on a timely basis, with ongoing quality and consistency. Build sound client relationships and work productively with other professionals/lenders. Identify and investigate possible fraudulent transactions. Use experience and expertise to support the development of the audit functions, and audit policy.

Role Requirements: The preferred candidate will be required to engage in regular travel throughout London and the South of England as part of a growing business. Ideally, the candidate should have the following attributes; · Proven financial industry working experience. · Previous experience as an auditor in the finance sector. · Knowledge of the leasing market, products, and activities. · Advanced knowledge of credit analysis and lending/leasing functions. · Advanced knowledge of typical equipment finance and asset finance products · Ability to interpret financial statements. · Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines · Attention to detail · Accuracy and thoroughness · Excellent communication skills · Good presentation skills · Ability to work alone and collaboratively as part of a team · Strong time management skills · Ability to exercise initiative
