Summary: The Risk & Audit Manager role is pivotal within the Assurance team of a national organization, focusing on managing strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks. This position requires a commercially minded individual who can develop and enhance risk management frameworks while fostering ethical practices. The role involves collaboration with various business units to identify and assess risks, ensuring effective stakeholder relationships. It is a fixed-term contract for 12 months with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a value-focused assurance framework.
  • Enhance and embed the risk management framework across the business.
  • Partner with risk owners to identify and assess key risks and control activities.
  • Support annual business controls testing and reporting.
  • Develop and implement companywide policies and awareness programs for compliance risks.
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in external audit, internal audit, risk management, or assurance roles.
  • Degree level education with a professional qualification in accountancy, internal audit, or risk management.
  • Knowledge of risk management techniques and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in large, complex organizations across multiple business units.
  • Skilled in delivering and communicating best practice programs.

Salary (Rate): 60000
