Detailed Description From Employer:

Risk and Compliance Reporting Analyst Permanent, Full-time Hybrid - 2-3 days at our Derby office Up to £50,000 plus benefits About the role We’re looking for a Risk and Compliance Reporting Analyst to transform how we produce and use Management Information (MI) across Risk and Compliance at MAB. This isn’t a typical 'build dashboards in Power BI' role. We’re early on in our data journey, where much of our MI is manually extracted and collated. This newly created role focuses on embedding data quality standards, turning data into meaningful insights with our current platforms. Working closely with the Head of CRO (Compliance and Risk Operations) Strategy, you'll develop and improve reporting processes and controls to increase efficiency, accuracy, combining data with clear narrative to support Executive level decision making. This role would suit someone with a strong data and reporting background, particularly someone who is comfortable working in a developing data environment and improving manual processes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Produce high-quality monthly Risk, Legal and Compliance MI including dashboards, scorecards, trend analysis and deep dives
  • Reduce reliance on manual processes and drive improvements in how data is captured and structured
  • Build executive-ready reporting packs for the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Committees, combining data with clear narrative: what happened, so what, what next
  • Develop and improve reporting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and timeliness
  • Support the production of Risk Committee and Consumer Duty reporting packs
  • Analyse trends, identify outliers and highlight risks and themes
  • Bring structure to reporting by creating and maintaining clear, consistent metric definitions
  • Support governance processes through reporting, action tracking and committee materials
  • Maintain thresholds, RAG ratings and escalation triggers aligned to risk appetite
  • Ensure all reporting is well controlled, with robust audit trails, version control and methodology documentation
  • Implement and monitor data quality standards (completeness, accuracy, timeliness)
  • Ensure MI aligns with internal policies and regulatory expectations for oversight and monitoring

About you You’re a strong MI or reporting analyst who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful insight within structured, governance-led environments.

Proven experience producing MI, reporting and insight, ideally within risk, compliance, audit or another regulated environment Advanced Excel skills (including Power Query, Pivots) Skills and experience with Power BI (we will consider candidates with a basic level of knowledge to develop within in the role) Strong understanding of data quality, controls and metric definition Able to translate data into clear, concise narratives for senior stakeholders Confident managing stakeholders and constructively challenging to improve outcomes Comfortable working with imperfect or manual data and driving gradual improvement
