Summary: The Project Manager role at Social Care Wales involves leading high-impact projects aimed at improving social care regulation in Wales. This position is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract with flexible working options, based in either Cardiff or Llandudno Junction. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders, manage project delivery, and oversee a small team while ensuring compliance with public sector operations and Welsh legislation. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects within the Professional Regulation Portfolio focused on social care practice improvement.
• Engage with suppliers and stakeholders across the social care industry to define, plan, and execute projects.
• Coordinate and manage end-to-end project delivery, leading a small team of project staff.
• Oversee risk management and resource allocation for projects.

Key Skills:

• Experience in delivering complex projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of project management principles and evaluation methods.
• Strong understanding of public sector operations and relevant Welsh legislation.
• Experience in line managing staff and supporting team development.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• A relevant degree or project management qualification with substantial experience.
• Ability to communicate in Welsh is advantageous.
