Summary: Kimal is seeking an experienced Reward and HRIS Consultant to lead significant transformation in their HR infrastructure, focusing on payroll, benefits, and HRIS functions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Stabilise and oversee outsourced payroll, resolving issues and leading the transition to a new payroll platform.
  • Project manage the implementation of Mercer Marsh’s Darwin platform, including employee communications and training materials.
  • Evaluate and enhance the current use of People First, focusing on workflows, data accuracy, and system efficiency.
  • Partner with Mercer Marsh to manage benefits renewals and standardise offerings, including pension processes.
  • Deliver structured handovers and coaching to ensure sustainability post-engagement.

Key Skills:

  • Level 5 CIPD or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in HR systems transformation, reward, payroll, and benefits.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in platform implementations.
  • Deep understanding of UK payroll, pensions, and HRIS (People First and iTrent knowledge preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate with vendors.

About the Role Kimal is embarking on a period of significant transformation across our Reward, HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits functions. To support this, we are seeking an experienced Reward and HRIS Consultant who can lead and deliver sustainable change across several high-impact projects. This is a pivotal role that will bring structure, clarity, and long-term improvements to our HR infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Oversight and Transition Management: Stabilise and oversee outsourced payroll (currently MHR/iTrent), resolve persistent issues, and lead the transition to a new payroll platform (People First) with clear governance and accuracy controls.
  • Benefits Platform Implementation: Project manage the full implementation of Mercer Marsh’s Darwin platform (including Fizz integration), from configuration to post-launch support, while developing employee communications and training materials.
  • HRIS Review and Optimisation: Evaluate current use of People First (MHR) and identify opportunities to enhance workflows, data accuracy, reporting, and system efficiency.
  • Benefits and Contractual Terms Audit: Partner with Mercer Marsh to manage renewals, resolve eligibility issues, and standardise benefit offerings. Review pension processes, develop benefit matrices by role level, and clarify contractual entitlements.
  • Knowledge Transfer and Capability Building: Deliver structured handovers, coaching, and documentation to ensure sustainability post-engagement.

Qualifications Level 5 CIPD or equivalent.

Required Skills Proven experience delivering transformation across HR systems, reward, payroll, and benefits. Strong project management capability, ideally having led platform implementations. Deep understanding of UK payroll, pensions, and HRIS (People First and iTrent knowledge highly desirable). Excellent analytical and documentation skills. Ability to build trust, collaborate with vendors, and upskill internal teams.
