Summary: The General Dental Council (GDC) is seeking a Reward Consultant/Lead to join their People and Organisational Development team on a full-time, fixed-term contract. This hybrid role involves leading a Total Reward Project, managing relationships with external consultants, and developing new policies to enhance employee benefits and compensation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the ongoing transformation of the GDC while ensuring public protection remains a priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a significant Total Reward Project encompassing pay, reward, and benefits.
- Provide technical support for costings, modelling, and business case production.
- Manage relationships and contracts with external consultants.
- Develop options and recommendations while influencing key stakeholders.
- Write and present board papers to the Executive Leadership Team, Committees, and full council.
- Collaborate with project teams and the People and Organisational Development function for effective implementation.
- Develop new policies as appropriate.
- Deliver the total reward project successfully within time, budget, and benefits.
- Lead consultation and colleague engagement with People Partners, Line Managers, and Senior Leadership.
Key Skills:
- Experience in leading and implementing reward, grading, and benefits arrangements.
- Technical knowledge of compensation processes, including job evaluation and salary structure development.
- Experience in selecting and managing outsourced providers, preferably in public sector procurement.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing change regarding reward and benefits.
- MCIPD/FCIPD or equivalent qualifications in reward, compensation, and benefits.
- Significant knowledge of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, including equality impact assessments and pay gaps.
