Summary: The Reward Business Partner will play a crucial role in driving innovation in reward practices within a large local government organization. This position involves developing and implementing a comprehensive reward strategy that aligns with the Council's workforce objectives while ensuring compliance with equal pay legislation. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the Council's reward framework and support recruitment and retention efforts. This is a 3-month contract that may be extended for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive innovation in reward practices and lead initiatives related to equal pay, recruitment and retention payments, and reward strategy.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive reward strategy supporting the Council’s workforce objectives.
- Oversee the Council’s approach to equal pay and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide expert advice on recruitment and retention payments, ensuring strategic alignment.
- Identify future pay and benefits trends and influence the development of reward and recognition policies.
- Review and implement policies related to professional registrations and associated payments.
- Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to inform competitive reward initiatives.
- Develop relationships with trade unions to shape reward strategies collaboratively.
- Support job evaluation processes to ensure fairness in pay structures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of reward initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Provide training and guidance to HR teams and managers on reward-related matters.
