Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Revenues Manager for a Local Authority Client in Shropshire.

In this role you will lead and manage the Council's revenue's function, ensuring the effective administration of Council Tax services and maintaining high levels of performance and compliance.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage the Council Tax and wider revenues service, ensuring accurate billing, collection, and recovery processes.
  • Oversee performance management, ensuring targets, KPIs, and statutory requirements are consistently met.
  • Provide expert advice on Council Tax legislation, regulations, and complex casework resolution.
  • Manage, support, and develop staff within the revenues team to ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience managing a local authority revenues service, with strong Council Tax expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge of Council Tax legislation, regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Experience of performance management, including delivery against KPIs and statutory targets.
  • Track record of leading, developing, and motivating teams within a public sector environment.

What's on offer:

Salary: £35ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
