Summary: The Revenue Controller role at a leading legal firm in London involves building relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance performance and support Partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly revenue meetings with Partners and Associates to discuss WIP, debt, disbursements, client monies, time management, and billing.
  • Provide Partners with client fee breakdowns using ARCS 3 to report matter progress accurately.
  • Handle and resolve billing queries to ensure timely billing of matters.
  • Address various AP related queries.
  • Assist the Team Leader with partner and client reports using Elite/BI/Qlikview.
  • Maintain professional regulatory standards and knowledge, including UK VAT requirements & Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Assist with Credit Control activities, including follow-ups with Partners on outstanding invoices and contacting clients.
  • Review provisioned invoices and ensure the team meets its cash target.
  • Assist in the FRS5 process as required.
  • Track volume discounts and rebates where necessary.
  • Set up and monitor secondments and advise Partners on the process.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a law firm within a revenue or billing focused role.
  • Experience in the production of management reports.
  • High standard of computer literacy; knowledge of 3E systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, professional integrity, and personal resilience.
  • Commercial acumen.

Twenty84 is proud to be partnering with a 'Top 10' legal firm in recruiting for a Revenue Controller for their London finance team. The Revenue Controller will be required to quickly build relationships with internal stakeholders to help drive performance and deliver results, whilst offering first class support to Partners. This is a hands-on role, covering an ever-expanding range of responsibilities, including:

  • Attending monthly revenue meetings with Partners and Associates to cover all aspects of WIP, debt, disbursements, client monies, time management and billing
  • Providing Partners with client fee breakdowns, using ARCS 3 to accurately report matter progress
  • Handling and resolving billing queries to ensure matters are billed promptly
  • Dealing with various AP related queries
  • Assisting the Team Leader with partner and client reports using Elite/BI/Qlikview
  • Maintaining professional regulatory standards and knowledge, e.g., UK VAT requirements & Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Assisting with Credit Control activities including follow ups with Partners on outstanding invoices, contacting clients, reviewing provisioned invoices, playing an active role in ensuring the team is hitting its cash target
  • Assisting in the FRS5 process as required
