Summary: The Retail Contracts Manager role at Southeastern involves providing commercial and contractual management within the Retail Operations team to enhance value and compliance in the Retail contract portfolio. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure contracts align with business objectives and drive performance growth. The role also includes assisting in the tender process for retendering and extending Retail Contracts. This is a hybrid position based in London Bridge on a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist commercial and contractual management for the Retail contract portfolio.
  • Monitor and manage contractual commitments with business stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Assist in the tender process for retendering and extending Retail Contracts.
  • Evaluate bidder submissions and negotiate improved value in contract extensions.
  • Manage suppliers within in-life contracts and ensure compliance with contract law and regulations.

Key Skills:

  • Good stakeholder management skills and experience.
  • Experience in preparing and managing large budgets with strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Experience in writing and supporting business case submissions.
  • Knowledge of contract law, government legislation, and Procurement Act 2023 regulations.
  • Experience with retail and/or EPOS systems contracts in a Railway or equivalent environment.
