Retail Change Manager - 12 months |London (2 - Hybrid) - Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end change approach for the system implementation, including mapping current and future processes
  • Translate system and process changes into clear, people-focused change plans aligned to programme milestones, cutover, and go-live
  • Lead early and ongoing engagement with Retail, central teams, and operational audiences to support adoption of new planning, decision-making, and execution approaches
  • Act as the bridge between central teams and operational stakeholders, ensuring feedback is captured, addressed, and reflected in change activity
  • Identify and manage stakeholders across Fashion, Home & Beauty, Space Planning, Retail Operations, Product, and Technology teams
  • Partner with subject matter experts, Super Users, and Product teams to align change activity, delivery priorities, and messaging
  • Develop and deliver clear, consistent communications explaining what is changing, why, when, and how teams will work differently
  • Assess change impacts across roles, processes, behaviours, and systems, identifying readiness risks, resistance, and operational pinch points
  • Define and deliver targeted interventions that mitigate change risks and build confidence ahead of go-live
  • Embed change into business-as-usual activity and monitor readiness/adoption to support sustained ways of working

What You Will Ideally Bring

  • Demonstrable experience supporting business change, operational activity, project coordination, analysis, documentation, or stakeholder follow-up
  • Strong relationship-building skills, able to integrate quickly into operational teams and build trust with subject matter experts, managers, and cross-functional partners
  • Highly organised and dependable, able to manage varied tasks, changing priorities, and multiple stakeholders while maintaining attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to turn complexity into actions, updates, and recommendations for different audiences
  • Resilience and adaptability, comfortable working through ambiguity and maintaining momentum as priorities shift
  • Good understanding of retail Space Planning activity, including macro space, grading, store layouts, space performance, concessions, tactical space, and seasonal change
  • Ability to interpret commercial, operational, and space data to support recommendations and decision-making
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Rate: £350-400 day - Inside IR35
  • Location: London, 2 days per week (Hybrid)
