Summary: The Responsible Sourcing Administrative Assistant at LDH will support and coordinate sustainability efforts within the company, ensuring compliance with ethical and environmental standards. This role involves managing supplier audits, collaborating with various departments, and assisting in the implementation of sustainable practices. The position is crucial for enhancing the company's responsible sourcing policies and maintaining transparency in supply chains. The role is offered as a fixed-term maternity contract lasting 12-16 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of supplier audits to ensure compliance with LDH and customer ethical requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Manage audit trackers and chase suppliers to ensure audits are booked on time and NCs are closed within the recommended date.
- Update and communicate progress with customers.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential high-risk suppliers based on ethical and sustainable risk assessments.
- Support in implementing and managing action plans.
- Assist in gathering data on supply chains beyond Tier 1 in agriculture and fishing to help build transparency and identify high-risk supply chains.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of ethical, environmental and marine sourcing policies to align with customer requirements.
- Assist in updating suppliers on new responsible sourcing customer policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to ethical, environmental, carbon and marine compliance.
- Stay informed with environmental legislation, industry best practices, customer environmental policies, carbon policies and reporting requirements.
- Support the Responsible Sourcing Manager in analysing data related to supplier performance, ethical compliance, and sustainability metrics.
- Assist in generating reports and recommendations to improve overall ethical and sustainability performance.
- Support industry research on human rights, environmental and marine topics, and areas of development.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic carbon reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Periodically gather and submit data for customer reporting requirements on deforestation commodities, fish metrics and carbon.
- Work closely with technical team to ensure alignment with ethical and sustainability standards.
- Engage with external organizations and industry groups to stay informed and participate in collaborative initiatives.
