Residential Property Solicitor (Locum)

Location: Near Birmingham

Contract Type: Temporary/Locum

Salary: £45 to £55ph

• Locum/FTC Solicitor requirement in residential conveyancing team of national well regarded multi office law firm.
• Maternity cover required to start mid October 2026.
• On site working mainly required (some flex for remote).
• 4 or 5 days per week working hours required.
• Caseload - Usual residential conveyancing transactions.

Position Overview

The Residential Conveyancer will play a crucial role in assisting the firm through a maternity period.

The role is to start mid to end Oct 2026 ideally, and ideally will last for one year, although a minimum commitment of 6 months would suffice in the first instance.

The requirement is mostly on site.

Responsibilities

• Manage the usual caseload of residential property law matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of legal documentation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records.
• Work well within a team.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' PQE as a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer in Residential Property Law (unable to accept Conveyancers qualified by experience).
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
