CAMaCS aims to seed and cultivate impact-led research by building strong, sustainable and collaborative relationships with its partner organisations, and the RSE will work alongside our Innovation Research Associates and other colleagues in the departments of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science to develop robust, reproducible, and sustainable software that enables interdisciplinary research that has real-world impact. The ideal candidate will take lead responsibility for the quality of the technical aspects of allocated research projects, contributing to the wider development of a leading technical research environment within the departments of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science. The post-holder will work proactively to develop software for a range of research activities and projects and will support the efficient use of faculty time and research funds by consulting on the development of optimised and validated software. The role will also focus on reducing duplication of effort by research staff by advising on the development of reusable software and will ensure adherence to relevant compliance frameworks. If you are inspired by contributing to real-world impact and want your software engineering skills to fuel scientific innovation, this is your opportunity to work in an environment whose outputs have the potential to influence policy, industry, and society at large.
