This post is based at the University of Warwick (in the peater Lab at the School of Engineering), however the successful candidate will be required to make trips to the project partners, who are based ALL OVER Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone previously researching POWER ELECTRONICS, OR POWER ELECTRONIC DEVICES.
About You
We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a minimum 2.1 honours degree in a relevant subject and a PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline such as, Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability in research and evidence of quality research output in the relevant field of SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNOLOGY
You will have sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques related to RELIABILITY
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively and effectively with academic and administrative colleagues, both within and outside the University, to promote a collegial environment, while contributing to the life and community of the School through various duties, such as supporting offer holder days and outreach activities, which may occasionally require weekend work.
You will possess quantitative and qualitative research skills in physical experimental work in both laboratory and fieldwork environments.
The ability to code in Matlab will constitute a distinct advantage.
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is essential.
If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure.
Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of the level 6 of the University grade structure.
