Detailed Description From Employer:

This role sits within the Research and Impact Directorate of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. You will provide high level strategic and operational support to HLS Research Centres of Excellence to ensure that they deliver their strategic vision and ambitions. The post is essential to delivering increased research income, strategic partnership development, impact and overall research governance across the following 3 key areas:

  • Governance oversight of ten Faculty Research Centres of Excellence
  • Centre management of the Microbiome Innovation Centre (MIC)
  • Project management of the externally funded £1.2m Liverpool City Region Life Sciences Innovation Zone project Microbiome: Accelerating Innovation and Development (MAID) Hub

You will bring experience of working within R&D environments, have excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and research and business development skills.

Reporting to the Head of Research Development and Delivery and working closely with and receiving instructions from the Director of the Microbiome Innovation Centre, you will play a vital role in helping the MIC, the faculty and broader university to accelerate its research income and impact ambitions.

The post is to cover a period of maternity leave, expected to be from May 2026 until April 2027.
