Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance on project management processes, tools, and techniques to enhance portfolio effectiveness.
  • Define and operate a decision-making framework, ensuring effective stakeholder management and legitimate authority identification.
  • Control and coordinate changes to products, services, or systems to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Develop, produce, and deliver regular and one-off management information to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business sponsors to establish and track success metrics and criteria.
  • Conduct complex data analysis, synthesising information from various systems to derive meaningful insights.
  • Create dashboards using BI tools to provide insights that drive improvements across operational to executive levels.
  • Introduce automation solutions to enhance the existing reporting landscape.
  • Lead initiatives on KPI and data sharing to foster business improvements.
  • Document planning decisions and rationales to improve visibility of delivery performance and change control.
  • Provide one-off and ad hoc reporting to support monthly KPI packs as required.

Key Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in VBA, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with PRINCE2 or Agile PM methodologies (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Numerate and computer literate, with a solid understanding of the utility regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with the operational challenges faced by the organisation is desirable.
