Summary: The Zabbix Consultant will play a crucial role in the Network Tooling Refresh initiative, focusing on replacing legacy network tools with Zabbix-based solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) and produce Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
 - Deploy Zabbix proxies across distributed sites and data centres.
 - Configure Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) on network devices and onboard them into Zabbix.
 - Develop dashboards for utilisation, capacity, and performance reporting.
 - Create test plans and validate the solution against the design.
 - Implement the solution under change control and provide post-deployment support.
 - Deliver knowledge transfer and documentation for Business As Usual (BAU) teams.
 
Key Skills:
- Profound knowledge of Zabbix architecture including server, proxy, and agent deployment.
 - Strong Linux system administration skills including installation, tuning, and security.
 - Experience in SNMP configuration and troubleshooting.
 - Proficiency in dashboard development.
 - Automation and scripting skills, particularly in Python and Bash for onboarding and proxy setup.
 - Integration experience with alerting platforms.
 - Excellent documentation skills and experience in service transition, including HLD/LLD and runbooks.
