Summary: The Workday Testing Practice Lead / Testing Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities for Workday implementations and upgrades, developing test strategies, and establishing enterprise testing practices. This role involves engaging with stakeholders and clients, guiding them through various testing phases, and ensuring compliance with QA best practices. Additionally, the position includes mentoring junior consultants and managing remote teams across multiple projects. The role is part-time and remote, focusing on delivering high-quality testing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end testing activities for Workday implementations, upgrades, and support projects
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and execution frameworks
  • Establish and scale enterprise testing practices, methodologies, and reusable collateral
  • Drive baseline testing standards across all implementation engagements
  • Conduct testing risk assessments and manage issue escalation processes
  • Lead testing kickoff meetings, status reviews, defect triage sessions, and stakeholder communications
  • Support testing across Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management, Financials, and Student
  • Coordinate development of custom test scenarios aligned with customer business requirements
  • Guide customers through SIT, UAT, Parallel Testing, Regression Testing, and Go-Live readiness activities
  • Partner with customers, engagement managers, project managers, and functional consultants
  • Provide executive-level updates on testing initiatives and project health
  • Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer sessions
  • Standardize testing templates, tools, and governance models
  • Ensure compliance with Workday implementation methodologies and QA best practices
  • Continuously improve testing efficiency, scalability, and delivery quality
  • Drive process optimization initiatives across implementation and support teams
