Summary: The Workday Technical Consultant role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying Workday integrations and data connections. The consultant will collaborate with various teams to ensure data accuracy and timeliness while managing data loads and transformations. This position requires strong technical expertise in Workday tools and a solid understanding of HR and finance processes. The role is contract-based and remote, emphasizing hands-on experience with Workday integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and Workday APIs.
- Build and maintain data connections between Workday and external systems (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, ERP, etc.).
- Manage Workday data loads, data conversions, and data transformation processes for inbound and outbound integrations.
- Configure Workday Report Writer, BIRT, and Calculated Fields to support data extraction and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and vendor teams to gather requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration/data connection issues to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
- Participate in Workday release management, testing, and deployment of new features.
- Document technical designs, processes, and best practices for integrations and data management.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday technical integrations and data connections.
- Strong expertise in Workday Studio, Core Connectors & Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Web Services (SOAP, REST APIs), Workday Report Writer & Calculated Fields, and BIRT reporting (preferred).
- Experience with data mapping, transformations, and ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance business processes within Workday.
- Ability to troubleshoot integration and data-related issues quickly.
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
