Summary: The Workday SCM Functional Consultant role involves configuring Workday SCM modules and gathering business requirements to create functional designs. The consultant will also support integration design, develop business processes, and provide go-live support. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain workflows and excellent communication skills, with a focus on remote work and occasional travel. The contract duration is 24+ months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure Workday SCM modules (procurement, inventory, supplier management, procurement contracts, and related integrations).
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and create functional designs.
- Develop and validate business processes, security roles, business rules, and report requirements.
- Support integration design and work with integration/API teams (EIB, Workday Studio, etc.).
- Create and execute test plans, support UAT, and resolve functional defects.
- Provide go-live and post-production support, deliver knowledge transfer and documentation.
- Advise on best practices and recommend process improvements to optimize supply chain workflows.
Key Skills:
- Workday Supply Chain Management (SCM) certification.
- Proven hands-on experience implementing/configuring Workday SCM modules.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, supplier lifecycle, and order management processes.
- Experience with Workday security, business processes, EIB and Workday Integrations.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote, on-demand engagement.
