Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager to lead and oversee a Workday implementation initiative for a local government organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Workday projects, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven background working with public sector or local government clients.
This role will initially support the Workday Financials project and may expand to include oversight of additional Workday functional areas, including HCM and Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Workday implementation and deployment activities.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with business leaders, project stakeholders, and implementation teams.
- Facilitate project governance, status reporting, and executive communications.
- Ensure project milestones and timelines are achieved.
- Identify resource needs and recommend project staffing strategies.
- Oversee cross-functional Workday workstreams, including Financials, HCM, and Payroll as applicable.
- Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience managing ERP or Workday implementations.
- Hands-on experience leading Workday implementation projects.
- Experience working with Local Government, Public Sector, Municipal, County, City, or State Government organizations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and project teams.
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic project leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Financials implementation experience.
- Experience with Workday HCM and Payroll programs.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience supporting government digital transformation initiatives.
