Summary: The role of Project Manager for Workday Implementation involves leading a large-scale enterprise transformation initiative to replace Oracle PeopleSoft with Workday HCM, Payroll, and Financials. The candidate will coordinate across business departments and implementation vendors, ensuring accurate requirement capture and timely delivery of project milestones. This position is fully remote and requires immediate availability. The contract duration is for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end Workday implementation project activities across HR, Payroll, and Financials
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements
  • Facilitate as-is and to-be business process mapping
  • Coordinate closely with implementation vendors to ensure accurate system configuration
  • Plan and manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones
  • Schedule and lead Teams meetings with clear agendas and outcomes
  • Track progress, risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams
  • Drive UAT planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with multiple city departments
  • Maintain detailed documentation for requirements, decisions, and action items
  • Respond efficiently to incoming stakeholder requests and queries
  • Manage risk identification, mitigation strategies, and escalation processes

Key Skills:

  • 2+ years of Workday implementation experience (HCM / Payroll / Financials)
  • 2+ years of Workday Time Tracking experience
  • 3+ years of project coordination experience involving stakeholder engagement and business process documentation (as-is / to-be)
  • Proven ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Facilitate meetings and drive outcomes
  • Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and execution
  • PMP Certification (mandatory at submission)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organizational and documentation skills
