Summary: The role is for an experienced Workday U.S. Payroll Consultant who will independently lead a payroll workstream for a major project. The consultant will be responsible for managing all aspects of U.S. Payroll implementation, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and stakeholder guidance. Strong expertise in Workday Payroll and LX methodology is essential for success in this fast-paced environment. The position requires a proactive approach and the ability to operate autonomously while ensuring compliance and best practices are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the U.S. Payroll workstream end-to-end using LX methodology.
- Gathering requirements, defining scope, and translating business needs into Workday Payroll configurations.
- Managing all functional design, configuration, testing, and validation activities.
- Identifying issues, risks, and dependencies, and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Guiding stakeholders through payroll processes, compliance requirements, and best-practice recommendations.
- Preparing documentation, supporting testing cycles, and ensuring readiness for go-live.
- Acting as the primary subject-matter expert across all U.S. Payroll topics for the duration of the project.
Key Skills:
- Workday Pro U.S. Payroll Services Certification (required).
- Workday Implementer Certification (required).
- Strong proficiency in LX methodology.
- Extensive experience leading U.S. Payroll implementations independently.
- Deep understanding of Workday payroll processing, compliance, taxes, calculations, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously while managing stakeholder expectations.
