Summary: The Workday Integration Specialist role is a freelance remote position focused on supporting the Platform Services team for a key international client. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting end-to-end integrations within Workday, with a strong emphasis on payroll integrations and data transformation. The position offers the potential for long-term collaboration, with a contract duration until March 31, 2027, and possible extensions. Strong communication skills in English are mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the company's infrastructure and products as part of the Platform Services team.
- Design, develop, and support end-to-end integrations within Workday.
- Build Workday payroll integrations and manage data transformation and file transfers.
- Apply PGP encryption for secure file transfer and data protection in integrations.
- Work with APIs (REST/SOAP) and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Utilize Azure services, particularly Azure API Management, in integration processes.
- Understand integration patterns, data flows, and middleware architectures.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of Workday Integration Experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in designing and supporting integrations.
- 2+ years of experience in building Workday payroll integrations.
- Experience with data formats such as JSON, XML, XSLT, HTTP, and Java.
- Experience applying PGP encryption for data protection.
- Solid experience with APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Experience with Azure services, especially Azure API Management.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with HCM systems and SnapLogic integration tool.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, version control).

Mandatory requirements:
- +5 years of experience of Workday Integration Experience, including data transformation, file transfer i.e. DTP, API Building
- Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing and supporting end-to-end integrations
- +2 years of experience in building Workday payroll integrations
- +2 years of experience working with data formats to structure, validate, and transform integration flows within Workday interfaces. (JSON, XML, XSLT, HTTP, Java)
- +2 years of experience applying PGP encryption to ensure secure file transfer and data protection in Workday integrations.
- Solid experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP), including troubleshooting and monitoring
- Experience with Azure services, especially Azure API Management (hands-on, not just exposure)
- Good understanding of integration patterns, data flows and middleware architectures
- English is mandatory, with strong communication skills (both spoken and written)
Nice-to-have requirements:
- Experience with Workday integrations / HCM systems
- Familiarity with SnapLogic integration tool
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, version control)
