Summary: The Workday Integration Developer will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting Workday integrations for a healthcare client in a long-term remote contract position. This role requires hands-on experience in complex Workday environments and involves collaboration with various teams to ensure seamless data flow and compliance. The ideal candidate should be autonomous and capable of resolving integration issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor daily performance of Workday integrations, including EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and API-based integrations
- Troubleshoot integration failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize business impact
- Own integration-related support tickets end-to-end, including investigation, resolution, and stakeholder communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday integration activities during the engagement period
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to implement new integrations, enhancements, and updates to existing integrations
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow and compliance
- Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation, including integration specifications, configuration details, and troubleshooting guides
- Ensure integrations comply with security standards, audit requirements, and data privacy regulations
- Support regression testing and validation during Workday semi-annual releases and system updates
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday integrations experience in mid-to-large enterprise environments
- Strong expertise with Workday EIB

- Proven experience with XSLT, XML, SOAP/REST web services, JSON, and SFTP
- Experience supporting secure data loads, file feeds, and data transformation processes
- Hands-on experience supporting Workday modules including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, and Compensation
- Experience supporting or participating in Workday ERP implementations
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently analyze and resolve technical and functional issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
