Summary: The HRIS Contractor (Workday Specialist) role involves providing specialist support for day-to-day HRIS activities, focusing on maintaining data accuracy and system stability across various Workday modules. The contractor will troubleshoot issues, manage data quality, and assist with system enhancements to ensure efficient service delivery. This position is primarily remote, with occasional onsite requirements in London. The ideal candidate will have extensive Workday experience and a strong understanding of HRIS operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain Workday data accuracy, security, and business process integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday issues across Core HCM, Recruitment, Absence & Time Tracking, and Performance modules with minimal business disruption.
  • Partner with the Employee Support Centre to manage operational queries and system support needs.
  • Execute mass data changes using EIBs and other Workday tools, ensuring high accuracy.
  • Ensure Workday processes comply with organisational standards and regional regulations, including GDPR.
  • Collaborate with external Workday support partners to manage tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into actionable system updates or configuration requests.
  • Support Workday configuration and regression testing during releases, tenant updates, bug fixes, and new functionality deployments.
  • Assist in change management, including preparing communications, user guides, and training materials.
  • Maintain Workday SOPs, configuration documentation, and governance controls in partnership with IT and leadership.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ hands-on Workday experience, including BAU support and configuration across multiple functional areas.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot effectively, and meet strict deadlines without loss of detail.
  • Familiarity with Workday’s bi-annual release process.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems, specifically Workday Core HCM, Recruitment, Absence & Time Tracking, and Payroll modules.
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing external vendors and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Multiple Workday certifications (desirable).
  • Certified implementer of other SaaS HR modules (desirable).

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Workday HRIS Contractor to provide specialist support for day to day activities. This role focuses on BAU operations, ensuring data accuracy, process integrity, and system stability across Core HCM, Recruitment, Absence & Time Tracking, Payroll and Performance modules.
