Summary: The Workday HCM Core & Compensation Lead is responsible for the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday HCM solutions, focusing on Core HCM and Compensation modules. This role involves leading functional discussions, translating business requirements into scalable configurations, and ensuring successful implementation. The ideal candidate will possess strong implementation experience and proven leadership in client-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the functional design and configuration of Workday Core HCM and Compensation
- Act as the primary functional lead for Workday HCM initiatives, guiding solution decisions and best practices
- Facilitate and lead client workshops, requirement sessions, and design discussions
- Configure and support tenant builds, business processes, and security aligned with business needs
- Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and document them appropriately
- Create, review, and maintain functional documentation including:
- Configuration workbooks
- Business process documentation
- Design and decision documents
- Gap and impact analysis
- Support testing, defect triage, and issue resolution during implementation and post-deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Provide guidance during releases, enhancements, and ongoing optimization efforts
Key Skills:
- Hands-on Workday implementation experience
- Strong functional expertise in Workday Core HCM
- Experience working with Workday Compensation (including compensation cycles and plan configuration)
- Workday HCM Core Certification (mandatory)
- Proven experience in a Lead or Senior Consultant role
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
