Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Workday HCM Consultant to lead the implementation and enhancement of Workday Human Capital Management solutions. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with core HCM modules and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective and compliant solutions. The consultant will also be responsible for troubleshooting, documentation, and user support. This position is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support full lifecycle Workday HCM implementations, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Configure and maintain functionality within Core HCM and related modules such as:
    • Organizations
    • Job Profiles
    • Positions & Staffing
    • Compensation
    • Security
    • Business Processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional Workday solutions.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
  • Support Workday Releases, regression testing, and adoption of new HCM capabilities.
  • Develop documentation, test scripts, training materials, and SOPs.
  • Partner with integration teams to support inbound/outbound data flows and EIB solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and system compliance with HR policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance, training, and user support for HR and business partners.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, either as a consultant or internal systems analyst.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday Core HCM and at least one related module (Compensation, Talent, Absence, Recruiting, Benefits, etc.).
  • Experience configuring Workday Business Processes, security roles, and supervisory structures.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into scalable configurations.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and HR lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Workday HCM certification preferred (not always required).
