Summary: The Workday Specialized Technical Consultant is responsible for advanced configuration, optimization, and technical troubleshooting within Workday Talent, Performance, and HCM modules. This role collaborates with HR Technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality Workday solutions, ensuring data integrity and system stability. The consultant will also provide guidance on best practices and support testing and documentation efforts. Strong expertise in Workday configuration is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and enhance Workday Talent, Performance, and HCM modules in alignment with business requirements
- Design and implement complex configuration changes while considering upstream and downstream impacts
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, recommending best-practice configuration approaches
- Support QA and regression testing for new features and enhancements
- Ensure all configuration changes follow established governance and technical standards
- Assist with testing, deployment, and stabilization during Workday releases
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configurations and support processes
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and documentation to support team consistency
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Talent Management configuration
- 3+ years of experience with Workday Performance Management configuration
- 5+ years of overall Workday experience
- 5–8+ years of Workday configuration and support experience, with strong expertise in Talent and Performance (including Skills functionality)
- Proven ability to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot complex configurations
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data models, and system dependencies
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to additional modules such as Core HCM, Learning, or Reporting is preferred
