Summary: The role of a senior HRIS consultant Lead focuses on providing functional leadership for enterprise HR systems, specifically Workday, with an emphasis on Timekeeping, Core HR, Compensation, and Performance Management. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including HR, Payroll, and IT, to design and optimize scalable HR solutions. The consultant will act as a subject matter expert and lead cross-functional initiatives while ensuring compliance and data integrity across HR processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the functional lead and subject matter expert for Timekeeping, overseeing solution design and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate HR and Payroll policies into effective system configurations, rules, and controls.
  • Assess downstream impacts to Payroll, integrations, reporting, and compliance.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex Timekeeping issues and drive root cause resolution.
  • Lead testing activities and ensure production readiness for time-related changes.
  • Provide functional leadership across Core HR processes, including worker lifecycle events and business process frameworks.
  • Lead Compensation system support, including base pay and annual/off-cycle compensation events.
  • Provide functional ownership for Performance Management processes such as goals and reviews.
  • Ensure data integrity and alignment across Timekeeping, Core HR, Compensation, and Performance processes.
  • Partner with Offshore AMS resources for functional support and operational execution.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for Timekeeping data issues and ensure audits are completed accurately.
  • Act as a trusted functional advisor to HR, Compensation, Payroll, IT, and program leadership.
  • Lead cross-module impact analysis for system changes and releases.
  • Drive functional standards, documentation, and best practices across HR systems.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of HRIT / HR systems experience with expertise in Timekeeping and exposure to Core HR, Compensation, and/or Performance Management.
  • Experience translating HR policies and business requirements into system configurations.
  • Strong understanding of audits, compliance, eligibility rules, and process governance.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.

Deep HR domain expertise and systems (Workday) leadership experience are the primary requirements.

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :

Timekeeping (Primary Focus)
Serve as the functional lead and subject matter expert for Timekeeping, providing ownership of solution design, configuration oversight, and ongoing optimization.
Translate HR and Payroll policies into effective system configurations, rules, and controls.
Assess downstream impacts to Payroll, integrations, reporting, and compliance.
Act as the escalation point for complex Timekeeping issues and drive root cause resolution.
Lead testing activities and ensure production readiness for time related changes.
Core HR, Compensation & Performance
Provide functional leadership across Core HR processes, including worker lifecycle events, eligibility rules, and business process frameworks.
Lead Compensation system support, including base pay, eligibility rules, and annual/off cycle compensation events.
Provide functional ownership for Performance Management processes such as goals, reviews, and eligibility.
Ensure data integrity and alignment across Timekeeping, Core HR, Compensation, and Performance processes.
Delivery & Resource Partnership
Partner with Offshore AMS resources to coordinate functional support, enhancements, defect resolution, and operational execution.
Partner with Near shore Timekeeping Data Management resources who:
Act as the primary escalation point for Timekeeping data issues
Ensure Timekeeping audits are completed accurately and within required timelines
Provide functional oversight, prioritization, and final decision-making for escalations and audit outcomes.
Cross Functional Leadership
Act as a trusted functional advisor to HR, Compensation, Payroll, IT, and program leadership.
Lead cross module impact analysis for system changes and releases.
Drive functional standards, documentation, and best practices across HR systems.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of HRIT / HR systems experience, with deep functional expertise in Timekeeping and strong exposure to Core HR, Compensation, and/or Performance Management.
Experience translating HR policies and business requirements into system configurations and controls.
Strong understanding of audits, compliance, eligibility rules, and process governance.
