Workday Finance Functional Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Workday Finance Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Workday Financial Management, specifically in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. The candidate will be responsible for supporting financial business processes, system configuration, implementation, integrations, testing, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Workday Financial Management modules related to P2P and R2R.
• Manage the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier invoices, invoice matching, approvals, and supplier payments.
• Support Record-to-Report processes, including general ledger, journal entries, accounting adjustments, period-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Configure business processes, approval workflows, security roles, and validation rules.
• Work with Workday Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), Procurement, and General Ledger (GL).
• Support financial reporting, accounting worktags, chart of accounts, and ledger configuration.
• Participate in requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, UAT, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide production support.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, procurement, integration, and technical teams.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, and user training materials.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management.
• Strong functional knowledge of both P2P and R2R business processes.
• Experience configuring Workday Financial Management business processes and workflows.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Procurement, General Ledger, journal processing, and financial close.
• Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and security concepts.
• Experience with Workday implementation, enhancement, or production support projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday Financial Management implementations or rollouts.
• Knowledge of Workday integrations, EIB, and Workday Studio.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and period-end close.
• Workday Financial Management certification is preferred.
