Summary: The Workato Senior Developer role is a fully remote contract position focused on delivering complex integrations and automation solutions using Workato. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and deploying Workato recipes, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across time zones and effective communication. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing existing solutions, as well as leading migration projects from other integration tools. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement complex Workato integrations to support critical client use cases.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and maintainable Workato recipes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, architects, and technical leads, to define integration strategies.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing Workato solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead migration projects from Tray.io and other legacy integration tools to Workato, ensuring seamless transitions.
• Develop error-handling, logging, and monitoring strategies to maintain high reliability and observability of integrations.
• Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Work independently in a remote-first environment, adapting to time zone differences.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on integration development experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in Workato.
• Deep knowledge of Workato's capabilities, API management, connectors, and automation frameworks.
• Strong experience in complex integrations involving multiple endpoints, APIs, and data transformations.
• Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and webhook-based integrations.
• Experience with data mapping, error handling, and logging mechanisms in Workato.
• Prior experience with migration projects from Tray.io and/or other iPaaS solutions is highly desirable.
• Ability to troubleshoot integration failures and optimize performance.
• Familiarity with Workato custom connectors, SDKs, and embedded integrations is a plus.
