Summary: We're looking for a detail-oriented Technical Support Analyst with solid WordPress experience to manage a growing portfolio of WordPress websites. The role involves operational web management, troubleshooting technical issues, and documenting processes. Ideal candidates will have a methodical approach and a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins. This position is suitable for early to mid-level professionals seeking to deepen their WordPress expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • WordPress Site Management
  • Perform regular WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates across multiple client sites
  • Monitor site health and proactively address performance issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
  • Ensure site backups are active, available and ensure recovery procedures are tested
  • Conduct regular speed tests using GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, and similar tools
  • Review and optimize caching configurations (Cloudflare Edge Caching, LiteSpeed, Object, etc…)
  • Implement performance improvements based on audit findings
  • Monitor Core Web Vitals and make recommendations for improvements
  • Support configuration and maintain WAF rules in Cloudflare and other security platforms
  • Perform security audits and recommend hardening measures
  • Monitor security logs and respond to potential threats
  • Keep security plugins properly configured and updated
  • Review and audit for proper SEO structure (meta tags, schema markup, XML sitemaps)
  • Ensure technical SEO best practices are followed
  • Identify and fix crawl errors and broken links
  • Support content team with technical SEO requirements
  • Create detailed documentation for all support processes and procedures
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common tasks
  • Build knowledge base articles for internal use
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements

Key Skills:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on WordPress management experience
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins
  • Experience with caching plugins and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare or similar CDN/WAF services
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and tools
  • Excellent written communication skills for documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client sites
