Web Developer

Description

Robert Half has a client looking for a freelance WordPress Developer to support one or more active website projects. This opportunity is ideal for a WordPress specialist who can turn approved Figma concepts into responsive, easy-to-manage websites that support strong user experience and accessibility. The role requires someone who can work independently while partnering effectively with design and project teams to deliver reliable, modern web solutions.

Responsibilities:

Develop custom WordPress websites by translating approved Figma layouts into fully functional, responsive pages and templates.

Build intuitive content management experiences that allow client teams to update site content efficiently without technical support.

Implement tailored WordPress features, including searchable or filter-based content displays and catalog-style functionality.

Refresh and improve existing website code to enhance performance, maintainability, and modern development standards.

Connect external platforms and embedded tools, such as marketing forms, to support lead capture and site functionality.

Support website integrations that bring external data, including job listings, into WordPress environments.

Work closely with internal creative and delivery teams to align technical execution with project goals, timelines, and site architecture.

Apply accessibility-minded development practices to help ensure websites are usable across devices and audiences.

Requirements

Demonstrated detail-oriented experience developing websites in WordPress.
Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end web development.
Proven ability to build production-ready websites from Figma designs.
Experience creating custom fields, theme templates, and user-friendly backend editing structures.
Understanding of responsive development principles and cross-device compatibility.
Ability to manage work independently and communicate clearly in a freelance or contract setting.
Familiarity with tools or technologies such as Advanced Custom Fields Pro, FacetWP, Slider Revolution, or HubSpot integrations is preferred.
Exposure to code modernization efforts, Elementor, or integration of external content sources is a plus.
