Summary: The Web Designer/Developer role focuses on updating and improving the organization's website to align with brand standards and accessibility requirements. The position involves enhancing user experience, reorganizing email marketing functions, and implementing new web designs using Wix. The candidate will also be responsible for performance testing and troubleshooting to ensure the website's functionality and accessibility. This role is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update the design of the website to meet brand standards and accessibility requirements.
- Improve user experience for easier navigation and information retrieval.
- Clean and reorganize website functions for email marketing and events.
- Restructure email contact lists for better labeling and performance.
- Enhance contact database fields and create an email marketing performance dashboard.
- Create and implement new wireframes according to new design criteria.
- Implement new site design and page content while ensuring accessibility standards are met.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure basic functionality is intact.
- Work with team lead to establish project management gateposts and troubleshoot content and functionality.
- Enhance newsletter sign-up form and segment subscriber list.

- Unique Wix account DAILY ACTIVITIES The individual will implement changes to the newly created development web page on our website.
Specific daily tasks will include:
Create and implement new wireframes according to new design criteria.
- Creating and working within sandbox on Wix to create new draft designs.
- Most pages are static designs, with the exception of one form.
- Update brand criteria on Wix.
Implement new site design and page content
- Ensure accessibility standards are met
- Using Wix as CMS platform, ensure adaptability for easy updates
- Implement redirects and other tools as needed
Performance testing
- Ensure basic functionality is intact
Project management: Working with team lead to establish gateposts
Troubleshooting and adapting content and functionality accordingly with team lead
Form and contact cleaning and implementation:
- We have a newsletter sign up form that needs to be enhanced, and a subscriber list that needs better segmenting fields. This list is small (under 500 contacts)
- Also, assistance with the clean-up of 'site users' and streamlining this.
OUTCOMES: Upon completion of the engagement, we will have a newly designed, fully functional, and accessible website.
