Job Description
We are seeking a Senior MongoDB Database Administrator with 10+ years of experience to support enterprise MongoDB environments running on IBM Z / Linux ONE (s390x) and Linux platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise MongoDB environments.
- Manage Replica Sets, Sharding, Replication, High Availability, Backup/Recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Perform MongoDB performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
- Implement database security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and access controls.
- Support MongoDB migrations, upgrades, patching, and production deployments.
- Collaborate with IBM Z/Linux ONE, Linux, infrastructure, storage, network, and application teams.
- Automate DBA activities using Shell, Python, or similar scripting technologies.
- Provide production support, documentation, root-cause analysis, and technical guidance.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of database administration/engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on MongoDB DBA experience.
- Experience with MongoDB on IBM Z / Linux ONE (s390x).
- Expertise in MongoDB replication, sharding, indexing, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and production-support skills.
