Summary: The role of Vulnerability & Threat Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Cyber Security is a contract position focused on leading operational vulnerability management within a large enterprise. The SME will act as the technical authority for vulnerability and threat prioritization, ensuring effective execution of daily operations and fostering a proactive approach to risk reduction. Active SC Clearance is required for this position, which offers remote working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operational activity across the vulnerability analyst team
  • Ensure scans, reporting, and triage activities are executed effectively
  • Provide expert guidance on vulnerability tooling (eg Tenable)
  • Contextualise vulnerability data with current threat intelligence
  • Drive threat-led prioritisation of remediation activities
  • Work closely with IT resolver groups to accelerate patching
  • Mentor and support analysts, improving quality and accountability
  • Support programme and process improvement initiatives
  • Embed a proactive, high-performance operational culture

We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability & Threat Subject Matter Expert to lead and energise operational vulnerability management within a large enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on contract role where you will act as the technical authority for vulnerability and threat prioritisation, driving day-to-day operations while embedding a proactive, threat-led approach to risk reduction.
