Summary: The VMware SME role involves designing and configuring VMware Workspace ONE and associated technologies to manage mobile devices and applications securely. Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Configure VMWare Workspace One Tunnel & VMWare Tunnel Proxy.
• Design & Configure Per-App VPN & Per-App Tunnel (AirWatch App-Tunnel) for Mobile Applications.
• Design & Configure Network Traffic Rules on VMware Workspace One.
• Design & Configure Certificate Authentication for Mobile SSO.
• Design & Configure Tunnel Mode (Per-App vs Full Device Tunnel) in VMware Workspace One.
• Design & Configure VMware tunnel proxy on Linux Servers in DMZ.
• Design, Configure & implement Unified Access Gateway.
• Configure and maintain VMware Workspace ONE to manage mobile devices and applications within the organization.
• Design and manage profiles and policies for mobile device management, including security settings, Wi-Fi, and email configurations etc.
• Design and implement per-app VPN configurations using VMware Tunnel to secure data transmission for specific applications on mobile devices.
• Optimize and troubleshoot VMware Tunnel configurations to ensure seamless and secure access to corporate resources.
• Manage the deployment and distribution of mobile applications through VMware Workspace ONE.
• Collaborate with application owners and developers to ensure compatibility and proper configurations.
• Implement and enforce security best practices in VMware Workspace ONE, including encryption, authentication, and access controls.
• Stay updated on security trends and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential threats.
• Create and maintain documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users and IT staff on best practices for using VMware Workspace ONE and VMware Tunnel.
• VMware Workspace ONE and Microsoft Intune certification are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in configuring and managing VMware Workspace ONE and VMware Tunnel in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of mobile device management, including iOS and Android platforms.
• An added advantage to have knowledge of Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
• As added advantage Deploy & Migrate Linux servers.
• Familiarity with VPN technologies and security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
